Well I guess I should start off by saying...sorryyyyyyyy. I totally started slacking on the blog posting. At some point life in Spain got to be pretty boring............ until we won the whole darn Spanish League Championship! BOOM! And I didn't blog about that either because it was all over my facebook and anyone of the 5 people that read this blog probably knew at that point.
Anyways, just a quick little recap: After Spain I came home and lived in Northern California area for most of the summer while taking some must needed vacations with friends to Vegas, Tahoe, SLO, SF, Almanor, and AZ. I worked a few volleyball camps in there and of course enjoyed time with the boyfriend :) It was quite a lovely summer, but as always not long enough and the real world came to slap me in the face.
I knew at the end of season that something was seriously wrong with my shoulder. I got an MRI and the doc gave me the news; partially torn rotator cuff and partial SLAP tear. For all of you that would like to know what that is here is a wiki link because I really don't know what it is either. I do know it stands for "
superior labral tear from anterior to posterior" something or other... (took that straight from wiki)

So, after I figured that out and knew I would need surgery I had to tell Menorca that I would not be coming back as I had hoped :( But being healthy is important so I planned my surgery and enjoyed the rest of my summer.
I had my surgery 2 weeks ago today. Let me tell you, it is the MOST frustrating thing. I couldn't do ANYTHING for myself and anyone that knows me will know that I have an extreme dislike for that nonsense. So I was on meds, loopy, sore, stiff, blah, blah. Finally as of last night, not only can I now put my hair up in a pony tail by myself again, but I also was able to sleep for the first time with out medication! YAY ME! It is the little things that count I have realized more and more everyday.
I also made a decision to, instead of stay in California and find some kind of job to pay the pills, I would return to AZ once again and tackle a semester of school. I can not decide if I am glad I did that yet or totally regretting it. Either way, a few classes down while I am here recovering and rehabbing is one step closer to that damn degree. "Baby steps" seems to be a common theme here.....hmm
I promise there is a reason that I decided to start this blog up again but maybe I will post a few pictures from this summer and wait a few days just to keep the suspense going ay?? Let me know whatcha think :)
